Rating by category:
the price and the breakfast - the beds were good too.
Fairly good motel. Close to main transportation routes and shopping.
Very noisy. Seemed like you could hear people whispering from the other rooms. People had been smoking in the hallways, which is illegal in bc. A university sports team was staying at the motel and they said it"smelled like old people".
I liked the location and the affordable price has always been a factor for my decision.
My husband and I booked a room for three nights, and after the first night, the front desk clerk cancelled our room keys. He said he thought we were going to check out! I explained that we arrived only the day before. Communication was a barrier, and I had to constantly repeat myself when trying to explain something. We were a bit disappointed that staff did not deliver our request for extra pillows and an extra towel. I had to actually go down to the main desk for these items. Both the bathroom sink and the shower drain were blocked so it took a very long time for the water to drain. This was very inconvenient. I have never encountered problems like this in any of the Super 8 Hotels I have ever stayed in, and hope that this was a one time only problem. I will probably stay in other Super 8 hotels.
You can rely on the general standards to be consistant throughout the brand
WiFi signal very poor, we had to sit near the room door to get connected.
The price was good....the room was very clean..the breakfast very good.....it was a good pleasant nights lodging......the staff was friendly...effifientnt......but the next door dairy queen ... very dissapointing..compaired to the ones I have been in before..I Know this is not to say on here...but just had to get it off my chest...ha ha..thanks,.....
The ice cube container should have a new plastic bag in it....
Conveniently located, clean facility.
Room was small, could use another chair in the room. Breakfast area very small, however there are plans to enlarge facility this summer. Needs some upgrades (lighting, carpets)
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and very affordable.
The juice that was available during breakfast was nasty, it had a terrible aftertaste. There were many cups sitting on the counter half full or full that people had poured and could not drink because of that.
Friendly staff. Close to food, fuel and highway. Clean and reasonably priced.
Hard to see from the highway.
Convenient for travel and access to TRU university.
We were in the last room in the hall and the wi-fi network signal did not (kept dropping) reach our room.
The carpet, linens and toilet were dirty. The staff were indifferent.
Front desk and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hallway of the hotel smelled like smoke.
Bed was not made, GF had to remake the bed, Fridge was not turned on and absolutly reeked when opened the door, you could smell cigarette smoke thru the whole building, No water pressure when taking a shower, Customer service was terrible, I have stayed at Super 8 before and have always liked staying there but that has been the only one that had such poor conditions not sure if we will ever stay there again.
The bed was alright. The price wasn't bad.
The bathroom/ shower was not clean. They offer shampoo but no conditioner (we stayed at the Super 8 in Williams Lake the night prior and they offered both). The front desk clerk was rude and seemed like he was quite bothered by our early check in. The room was right across from a well used ice machine. There was running up and down the halls in the middle of the night.
No BNN Channel on t.v., been asking for almost a year now, as always stay at Super 8 in Kamloops.
Nice breakfast Thanks
Air Conditioning was a problem and difficult to set.
